Two of My Paintings were Chosen as Auction Picks

Daily Paintworks has chosen two of my paintings as Auction Picks.  This is an honor as only a limited number is chosen out of many, many paintings.

They chose "Iridescence" and "Sunlit Forest Plant Study."

This little guy was stuck to our brick home--well, they are all over the brick during certain auspicious months of the year--and I could not resist painting him.  You know, iridescence is a wonderful and exciting effect to paint.

Sunlit Forest Plant Study
14 x 18
Acrylic on Canvas

My goal is to create the most beautiful painting I can, always.  The pine forest in which I live is replete with exciting and dynamic lighting situations.  Light filters through trees, weaving and sparkling in unexpected patterns. The sun turns emerald leaves into translucent citrine jewels while ruby stems gracefully wave and bend.

New Painting/Sold: THE SWAN QUEEN

The Swan Queen
12 x 12
Acrylic on Canvas

I am very delighted with this painting.  It is the second work exploring the black swan in her habitat, a pond in Savannah, Georgia.

Some of the comments I've received:

"Sometimes the words beautiful and magical are not enough!!"

"I love your style.  This is a beautiful painting."

"A delight."

"It's mesmering...Your use of colors is amazing.   Love it."

"This is absolutely stunning."

Though the original has been sold, there are prints and gifts available at Fine Art America and Deviant Art. Some of the offerings are: canvas prints (I highly recommend a canvas print or metal print), metal prints, duvet covers, pillows, tote bags, mousepads, coasters, phone cases, and mugs.
